Upside-Down Caramel Sticky Buns with Nuts

I ended up trying it and wondering why I didn't do it until now, because I kept coming across it on other sites. Much easier to prepare than the traditional cinnamon rolls, but more interesting in taste and texture.

Caramel, nuts and butter are a perfect combination - you feel like you're eating candy with cake!

Ingredients
Sugar
21 tbsp
12 tablespoons for caramel, +3 tablespoons milk sugar, and +6 lbs butter sugar = total 21 tablespoons
White flour
350 g
Egg
2 pieces
Vanilla Extract
1 tbsp
plus other flavors you like
Salt
0.25 tsp
Milk
110 ml
Bakers yeast
25 g
or about 15g dry yeast
Butter
130 g
Chopped walnuts
1 cup
Step by step
Step 1

In a saucepan of about 26-28cm diameter, melt the 12 tablespoons of sugar over low heat.

When the caramel is done, carefully grease it with a spoon on the walls of the pot and set aside to cool.

In a bowl measure the flour, add eggs, salt, vanilla and the flavors you like.

Hot milk is mixed with 3 tablespoons of sugar and yeast, add immediately over the flour, do not let it froth.

We start to knead the dough, first with a spoon.

Then with your hands - take it out on the work table and if necessary sprinkle a little flour to knead it for about 5 minutes.

Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Mix the soft butter with 6 tablespoons of sugar.

Spread a sheet of dough to be about 3mm thick.

Grease it with butter mixed with sugar.

Sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts and press them a little with your hands to stick to the butter.

Roll tightly and cut this roll into about 7-8 pieces.

Arrange the small rolls evenly in the pan with the hardened caramel and leave to rise for about 1 hour.

It has to double its volume, now it's ready to put in the oven.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Careful! As soon as you take it out of the oven, it must be turned upside down on a plate.

I put the plate over the pan.

Holding the plate with one hand I turned the pan upside down, I shook a little.
