Mushroom Rice

A food inspired by a TV show, I liked that it is simple to prepare, the ingredients are healthy and it tastes very, very good. It can also be food and garnish for fish or meat dishes.

Ingredients
Parboiled long grain rice
250 g
White mushrooms
1 kg
Carrots
3 pieces
White onion
2 pieces
Sunflower oil
50 ml
or olive oil
Salt

The mushrooms are washed, cleaned and cut thin.

Then fry in a deeper pan with a little oil. It should drop well and brown slightly.

Peel, wash and finely chop the onion.

Carrots are cleaned, washed and given through a medium grater. Then fry the onion in a pan with a little oil until lightly browned.

Add the mushrooms to the carrot and onion composition, add a little salt and mix. Leave the pan on low heat and during this time boil the rice.

I boiled rice in bags, according to the instructions on the package. If you use regular rice, boil it in a larger amount of water, about 1 l of water per 100g of rice and add salt, about 1 tablespoon to 2 l of water - and be careful not to boil it.

Allow to drain a little water.

Add the rice to the vegetable mixture.

Mix well, season with salt and pepper, and let it penetrate for about 15-20 minutes. It is absolutely delicious, I really recommend you to include it in your family menu.
