One Pot Chicken Pasta

Let me now show you one of our favorite recipes with homemade noodles or egg pasta - One Pot Pasta. My children love them and every time they make a sensation when I prepare them as a staple, even at a more festive meal. The idea is that the pasta should not boil separately in another water, but even in the juice / soup of meat or vegetables, and absorb it completely in the cooking process. Because of this, noodles completely take on the taste of the soup in which they are boiled and are exceptionally tasty! I tried to make the recipe with eggless pasta, the ones made of durum wheat, but they don't come out as good - they get a bit hot and don't have that elastic texture.

I tasted these pasta for the first time with some friends and since then we are not tired of them. Of course, the best ones come out with homemade noodles, made by you, but they also come out good with the ones from the trade of better quality, but they must be with eggs!

The recipe is ok if you make it with only some hardened vegetables (I made it with carrots, onions, peppers, mushrooms), without meat - that would be for vegetarians. You can add more vegetables in addition to meat, but I recommend the first time to make them as I wrote below, they are too good and you can not stop eating, namely from the taste of soup absorbed by pasta.

Ingredients

Meat
500 g
any favorite meat - chicken, turkey, pork, or even minced meat
Onions
1 piece
you can add carrots, peppers, mushrooms
Homemade noodles
500 g
important to be from eggs
Water
1 l
Salt
1 tsp
to taste
Ground black pepper
0.25 tsp
you can add some paprika, parsley, so spices to taste
Vegetable oil
50 ml

Step by step

1

Namely in this recipe I used boneless turkey pulp, I cut it into small cubes and I put it to harden with a little oil in a tuci or pan with a thicker bottom, about 5 liters.

You can cook the recipe in a deeper pan, the 28-30 cm with lid is perfect.

2

During cooking, notice that the meat juice is left, so you have to, continue to harden it and stir it periodically.

3

All the water in the meat should drop and it will start to brown slightly.

4

Now it's time to add julienned onions and / or other favorite vegetables.

Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

5

Pour 1 liter of cold water into the meat and hardened vegetables, mix and leave until it starts to boil.

When it boils, add salt, pepper and other spices, cook over low heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the meat is well cooked. If you use homemade chicken, orient yourself after another cooking time.

6

As I said, if you have homemade noodles, I recommend using them.

In case I don't have one, I replace it with commercial egg pasta.

7

As they are longer, cut them in half with a knife, so that they are more comfortable to eat for children.

8

When the meat is cooked, add the noodles to the pot and mix carefully.

9

Let it simmer until the pasta absorbs almost all the water in the pot (about 5-10 minutes), but they should not be dry!

10

At the end, stir again carefully, turn off the heat and cover the pot with a lid.

Let it soak in the pot for 20-30 minutes before serving.

11

Before putting them in mixed plates and observed with the noodles, they have absorbed all the water and are not watery at all.

Serve them with any garnish you like, but the best ones are so simple with a piece of cheese next to it.

Good appetite!
