Vegetarian Pizza

Vegetarian Pizza

I was telling you the other day I went to look for inspiration at an artisanal pizzeria. The first recipe was a pizza with bacon and zucchini. Now I want to show you how to prepare vegetarian pizza. My girls finished it within 5 minutes, and none of them complained that it didn't have meat!

At the pizzeria they make the ovo-lacto version, meaning they used mozzarella instead of other cheese alternatives (which are a mixture of margarines). I recommend using tofu in particular if you want your pizza completely vegan. Of course, it won't melt like mozzarella does, but it's still a very good option. What I really like about this is the thin slices of zucchini for the topping, which give an extra taste and more color to the pizza.

Helper recipes

1 serving
quantity for 2 pizzas

White mushrooms
6 pieces
100 g
Canned corn
2 tbsp
Red onion
0.5 pieces
Bell pepper
0.5 pieces
100 g
Yellow cheese
300 g
in the vegan version use tofu

Step by step

First prepare the Pizza Dough and the Tomato Sauce, of course.

At the pizzeria, the dough is different, but you can prepare the pizza with my dough recipe or whichever other you like.

So, strech out the first pizza crust, place in the baking sheet and spread over 2-3 tablespoons of tomato sauce.

Sprinkle with 1-2 handfuls of grated cheese/tofu on top.

Arrange the mushrooms cut into thin slices.

Add the corn and olives.

Then the julienned onion and the thin slices of bell pepper.

You can also add a few thin slices of zucchini.

Finally, sprinkle the top with another 1-2 handfuls of grated cheese/tofu.

Bake pizza in the preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 15-20 minutes.

In the oven from the pizza place, this is done in 3-4 minutes at 400 degrees!

And that's about it, you can juggle with the toppings as you like and enjoy the best vegetarian pizza.
