My favorite potatoes since I was at home or the student came home quite rarely, my mother always made them for me for breakfast. In the first period I didn't manage to make them exactly like my mother, but little by little I found out the secrets. They are not classic french fries, but like steamed and slightly browned potatoes. So ... I recommend you try them, they are also good as food and garnish for any vegetable or meat dish.

Peel and wash the potatoes.


Pour the oil into the pan and heat it well. Use a deeper pan, preferably a wok type and necessarily with a lid.


Cut the potatoes into larger cubes and place in the pan. Mix well, so each potato and be greased with oil.


Cover with a lid and make the fire on the stove medium. And leave for 10-15 minutes.


After 10-15 minutes mix with a wooden spoon or spatula. Then leave for another 10 minutes and then mix. So the secret is not to stir often, only 2-3 times until the potatoes are ready and also let them be covered with a lid.


When the potatoes are ready, add the finely chopped onion and salt, mix and leave for another 5-10 minutes.
