Step by step
Step 1
Apples are washed and peeled.
Step 2
The puff pastry is cut into squares of about 10 cm on the sides - but it all depends on the size of the apple - and an apple is placed on each one.
Step 3
Sugar and cinnamon are sprinkled in the middle of each apple and next to it. Put more or less depending on how sweet you like.
Step 4
And now we coat the apples in the dough - one of the corners of the square rises above the apple and sticks well.
Step 5
Next is the second corner of the square - lift it and glue it over the first.
Step 7
And the last corner of the square, stick well and make sure the apple is closed as well as possible.
If you put too little dough and spread it out, when baking it will break and there will be apple on the dough not apples in the dough - so try to make the squares a little bigger so that there is enough dough to coat the apples.
Step 8
This way, coat all the apples and place them on an oven tray greased with a little oil.
Step 9
Grease the apples with beaten egg and put them in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 1 hour.
Step 10
If the puff pastry browns quickly but the apples are not ready yet, put an aluminum foil on top - don't tan the puff pastry too much.
Step 11
Try with a knife if the apples are done, take them out of the oven and let them cool a bit.
Step 12
Serve the apples sprinkled with powdered sugar on top and optionally with vanilla cream - I haven't done it here before, they were eaten too fast :)
Good appetite!
