Vanilla Magic Cake

Vanilla Magic Cake

I wouldn't say that the cake is the only one magic, but also the cook because they can make tasty food with minimal effort. The cake and cream layers will separate during the baking process by themselves, so all you need to do is mix the ingredients according to the recipe. I managed to impress several guests on various occasions and family members as well with this smart cake. You should try it too.

There are plenty of magic cake recipes on the internet, but I've started from an old recipe, I played with the ingredients, I made some tests and the result was a very nice and tasty cake. I used a glass cooking tray, 35x25 or 33x23, but the important thing is that it has to be deep.

Ingredients

Egg
8 pieces
Sugar
250 g
Butter
170 g
White flour
150 g
Milk
1 l
Vanilla Extract
1 piece
Bread crumbs
2 tbsp
Powdered sugar
1 tbsp
optional

Step by step

Step 1

Take a deep 35x25cm or so tray and grease it with 20g softened butter.

I used my hands to do it :)

Step 2

Sprinkle 2 tbsp breadcrumbs and shake the tray so the breadcrumbs spread equally on the base and the walls of the tray.

Step 3

Separate the 8 eggs.

Step 4

Beat the egg whites until they are stiff using the mixer.

Step 5

Add sugar and vanilla to the yolks.

Step 6

Stir well, I used a whisk because the mixer will splash too much and I like to keep it clean.

Step 7

Incorporate 150g of cool melted butter and blend it in the yolks mixture.

Step 8

Add the flour and mix well so that there will be no lumps.

Step 9

Pour the milk and whisk thoroughly.

Step 10

Finally transfer the whipped egg whites and stir.

The egg whites will be ligther and the batter will be more liquid, so at first you'll have the impression that they won't integrate. You will have to insist until they are blended.

This is how the batter should look like in the end.

Step 12

Tip it in the tray we prepared at step 1.

Step 13

Use a spoon or a whisk to smooth over the top.

Step 14

Put the cake into the pre-heated 160 degrees C oven. Bake it for 45-60 minutes until it gets a nice brown colour and the middle is firm if you touch it with your fingers.

Step 15

Once, when I was doing a test, the oven was heated above 160 degrees C and the cake cracked. It tasted the same, though. I thought you might want to know.

Step 16

Allow the cake to completely cool, I would even suggest covering it in plastic wrap and keeping it in the fridge for 4-5 hours before serving. It will be much easier to cut and it will feel more fresh.

You can make portions on small plates right away.

Or you can arrange the pieces of cake on a large tray and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
