70g for the fruit + 70g for the dough
+ 1 teaspoon of butter for greasing the tray
Step by step
Pit and chop the plums into halves or quarters.
Toss them with 70g of sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, cardamom, and a pinch of salt.
Grease your baking tray with a teaspoon of butter, add the seasoned plum mixture, and drizzle with lemon juice.
In a separate bowl, grate the cold butter.
Mix in 70g of sugar, rolled oats, flour, and a teaspoon of salt.
Blend these ingredients well using a spoon until they start to clump together.
Evenly sprinkle this mixture over the plums and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 35-40 minutes.
Allow the crumble to cool for about an hour after taking it out of the oven.
Serve the crumble as it is, either cold or hot, or with a scoop of ice cream on the side.
