A classic recipe, romanian chicken stew with mushrooms(or Ciulama), you can only make it with mushrooms, will be just as tasty. The children really liked it, especially combined with polenta, so a good indicator that the recipe is good. The sauce is creamy and all the ingredients "kiss" very well. If you want to make the ciulama recipe, you can use simple sour cream (that's how I made the recipe below), but you can replace it with heavy cream and the sauce will have a more intense and slightly creamy taste.
So it depends on your preferences, possibilities and what you have at hand.

Wash the chicken breast well and cut into small pieces. So are the mushrooms, wash them and slice them thinly.
Heat the oil well in a pan and add the chicken breast pieces.
Stir periodically and let it harden until it starts to brown.
Then take it out of the pan with a spatula and set aside in a plate.
In the pan in which the meat was hardened, in the same oil, put the sliced mushrooms.
Stir periodically and let it simmer until all the juice is reduced.
About this way, let them brown a little, for an extra taste.
Now add the 2 tablespoons of flour to the pan with the mushrooms, mix well.
Then pour 300 ml of water.
Mix well and leave until it starts to boil.
Notice that it will make a thicker sauce, if it is too dense add a little more water until you get the desired consistency.
In this mushroom sauce add the previously cooked chicken, mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add sour cream, mix well and simmer for another 3 minutes.
At the end, season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with chopped green parsley.
Mix well and turn off the heat.
Serve with polenta and enjoy :)
Good appetite!
