Shake and Bake Crispy Chicken
Kids are the toughest food critics in my home, always challenging my culinary skills. However, this crispy chicken won them over instantly with praises and requests to make it frequently. It's crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and boasts a superb buttery flavor. I highly recommend giving it a try.
I'm relieved to have such a simple and delicious recipe at hand—it's a real time and effort saver. We paired the crispy chicken with a large, colorful salad, making the perfect and healthy combination.

or any other chicken pieces you prefer

Step by step
Step 1
Place the butter in the baking pan and put it in the oven to melt completely.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 0.5 teaspoon of ground black pepper, and 0.5 teaspoon of dried sage (or spices of your choice like oregano, dried garlic).
Step 3
Transfer the mixture to a larger zip-lock bag.
Step 4
Add your preferred chicken pieces to the bag—drumsticks, wings, breast, etc.
Step 5
Seal the bag and shake thoroughly until all the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the flour and spice mixture.
Step 6
Take out the baking pan with melted butter from the oven and arrange the chicken pieces in it, preferably with the skin side down. Return to the oven for 20 minutes.
Step 7
After 20 minutes, carefully flip the chicken pieces to the other side. Bake for another 20-30 minutes.
Step 8
Serve the crispy chicken immediately with your choice of side dish. It's incredibly tasty and well-loved by the entire family, especially the kids.
