Mulled White Wine

Mulled White Wine

Today I want to present to you a more elegant version of mulled wine. It's more festive, made of white wine and with a slightly different spice mixture than the mulled red wine. I enjoyed it greatly and I think you should try it too when you have a quiet moment with your loved ones.

Ingredients

White dry wine
600 ml
Water
150 ml
Oranges
1 piece
Ginger
1 piece
a small piece of fresh ginger, the size of a walnut
Cinnamon sticks
2 pieces
Star anise
3 pieces
Cardamon pods
3 pieces
Sugar
4 tbsp
or low-carb sweetener

Step by step

1

Combine 150ml water, the sliced ginger, cinnamon sticks, star anise pods and cardamom in a small saucepan.

Place on the stove and boil over low heat for 2-3 minutes.

2

Meanwhile, quickly wash and thinly slice an orange.

3

Add the orange to the saucepan and cook for 2 more minutes.

4

Now stir in the sugar.

5

And the wine.

Mix carefully until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil.

6

When it comes to the boil, remove from heat immediately, let stand for 10 minutes to mull before serving.

7

Serve with orange slices and some spices, it looks so delicious and very elegant.

Enjoy!
