This strawberry dessert is the delight of my childhood when I would pick the strawberries and gather in a bucket, wash and place them in a large enamel bowl. My grandmother would pour a jar of sour cream and a generous handful of sugar. We would all eat together from this basin with the spoons and it was a wonderful delight... Now that we are a little further from those times, I make strawberries for children with sour cream or yogurt and honey, strawberries with whipped cream, so you can adapt the recipe however you like and you need.
I, for example, because I'm on a LCHF diet, I put heavy cream and sweetener. Some chia seeds on top won't do much harm, either. So you can enjoy this strawberry dessert in many variations, but all fast, delicious and extraordinarily beautiful.

Wash the strawberries well, hull and drain in a sieve.
Mix the sour cream with honey and vanilla essence, sweeten to taste, as you like it.
Separately, I use birch sugar (xylitol) for myself, because I am on a diet and I excluded traditional sugar from the menu.
If you have larger strawberries, cut them in halves or quarters and you can leave the small strawberries whole.
Of course, you can just mix the cream with the strawberries and the dessert is ready.
But, if you want to make it a little more beautiful, arrange the strawberries in individual bowls.
Pour the cream over the top, but reserve about 1-2 tablespoons for each bowl to garnish.
Now add another layer of strawberries, not as big as the first one.
Put a little sour cream on top. Optionally, you can sprinkle with some chia seeds.
Decorate with some mint or lemon balm/melissa leaves and here it is - a very beautiful and delicious dessert.
It can be served immediately or refrigerated for 2-3 hours before serving. Do not let sit for too long because the strawberries release a lot of juice and it will lose its texture.
