I will show you one of the most successful sweet bun recipes, using quick sweet yeast dough, based on oil and milk.
In vegan version, put soy milk in the dough, and grease the buns with some apricot jam, or a little oil, or you could grease them with black tea infusion.
Here I show you the butterfly and heart-shaped buns - see in steps below all the stages of preparation.
I recommend them with great confidence, I didn't do any better, literally. Here is the recipe for poppy buns, in another form of course.

Prepare the quick sweet yeast dough.
After you have kneaded it a second time and rested it, cut it into 16 small pieces, which you form into balls.
Let them rest for 10 minutes then spread them with the twister, so that they are about 5 mm thick.
Grease each dough circle with a little soft butter.
In the fasting version, grease with apricot jam or a little oil.
Sprinkle about 0.5 teaspoons of sugar over butter.
Then the raisins / poppy / cinnamon.
Roll the dough.
Bend the roller with the edges in the middle.
Cut to length, leave about 1 cm to the edge - see picture.
And form the heart - we open the edges of the cut roll on the side.
And voila! We have a "heart" ready to bake.
And I'll show you how to make a 'Butterfly':
- repeat the steps with the dough and the rolls, just do not simply bend the roll - bring both edges to the middle - to be with the edges inside - see the picture.
Turn and cut the roll in half on both sides - leave one cm in the middle uncut.
Unfold the edges slowly and here we go - we have a "Butterfly" :)
Very good to make such buns with children, they are very impressed by such a thing with the dough.
Put all the buns on the baking tray and grease them with beaten eggs.
During fasting, do not grease them at all or anoint them with tea infusion.
Put them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and leave for 30 minutes - make sure they are done fairly quickly.
